Lightening Strikes.

Category: Poetry — Jack @ 2:52 am

The lightening strikes and knocks down the lines and sparks fly from the ground to the sky,

The bolt flashes from the ground to heaven somewhere around a quarter to eleven,

Ten million volts in one quick blast and the sand that it touches turns into glass,

Dig it up, it’s one of a kind and sell in a gallery where the rich drink wine and pay a price that boggles ones mind,

The cool gentle breeze that blows this night brings a chill in the spine as the next bolt does strike,

The sky gets bright from the lightening I see and not a thing is moving not even me,

The night is now quiet and no sounds can be heard except for the wind which tree leaves it stirs,

I hope that all are safe tonight from the mighty lightening strikes.

Heaven

Category: Poetry — Jack @ 5:31 am

White patches in the sky,
In a large backfield of blue,
Green rolling meadows surrounded by a forest of brown and green,
Enhanced by a lake of fingers with ducks on every hand,
A forest so peaceful and quiet for the woman, child, and common man,
The wind is gently blowing tossilling the trees,
The birds in the distance singing and enjoying the spring time breeze,
Occasionally the calm is frightened by a low flying plane,
Some youthful pilot playing in a day that has no rain,
This must be what heaven is like the peaceful calm without,
No phones are ringing or water from a spout,
No screaming, yelling or fighting is seen anywhere,
Just all of God’s creatures moving without a care,
The beauty of flowers blooming and trees budding everywhere,
A mother and child walk the lake shore Oh with so much care,
And discuss the facts of life as they walk through life’s free fair.
